Only about a year remained for these Tempo units. Still owned by CN and leased to VIA at this time.

A few would be loaned to GO Transit to pull and provide HEP for single levels, since the Tempo cars were being converted to 480 volt HEP to run with the LRCs but the RS18′s weren’t. Some would also run in VIA service with SGU’s or SG-equipped units on conventional consists.
