CP tended to favour its 251-powered 4-axle MLW power, and they enjoyed long service lives for their type, with the final C424 and RS18u units operating into the late 90's before retirement. 4216 was resold to the Morristown & Erie in 1998, and may have seen some service, but was ultimately scrapped in 2014.
