Great photo. The westbound is coming off the Strathroy Sub. and starting across the Longwood Subdivision, 20.7 miles of straight track to Glencoe.
Great photo. I assume at Glencoe, the Longwoods then became the Chatham Subdivision?
Also, where did the small station for Komoka be located? I assume where CNs Maintenance building (yellow siding) is. But I also see a small white structure in the distance too. Komoka station today was relocated a short distance away as part of the museum. Worh a visit! The station itself was relocated initially from Gobles, between Woodstock and Princeton. It was brought to Komoka to replace a structure that I believe burnt down.
Yes. The Jct. with the Longwood Subdivision was Mile 27.5 Chatham Sub., Glencoe is Mile 27.7. Mile 0.00 Chatham Sub. was St. Thomas.
Lovely photo Mr. Farkas.
The Tempo RS18s looked great with their short nose mounted bells, i’m not usually a fan of freight units on passenger trains, but these gets an easy pass! Wonderful picture Robert, thanks for sharing!
