    They were/are brand new units. 3025 is probably a couple of years old, 3225 isn’t even a year old yet.

    3025 was built in 2015. I had 3030 as the power on my last run as an engineer.????

    LOL, no Tim. It was a response to your saying that 3025 is a couple years old now. :-)
    I can never forget my last run or unit. I have been immortalized on digital recording by Mike DeCosta for eternity.. haha

    Ah. Right. I knew somebody would correct that comment. I said probably. I have better things to do than look up how old a unit is. I guess the original poster of that comment had better things to do as well. The internet is a wonderful thing.

    The internet is definitely a wonderful thing. Luckily my mind is still as sharp as a tack. I knew the builders date from my time running this class of units. I don’t just jump on and go…I like to check my ride out for all the bells and whistles.

    Are there any differences between the 3000 series units and the 3200 series units?

    I would tend to say no, there isn’t any difference. Although, some rivet counters on here will probably beg to differ. Some were built by GE in PA while the newer ones were built in TX.
