Effective June 8, 1980, CP Rail hosted four daily VIA Rail trains 1,2,3 & 4:  CP Sudbury to / from Union Station, Winnipeg (CN).


Westbound #3 operated daily twenty minutes ahead of daily #1 CP Sudbury to CP Thunder Bay; then 45 minutes ahead to Winnipeg Union  (CN).


Eastbound #4 operated daily twenty minutes behind daily #2  Winnipeg Union to Thunder Bay; then 40 to 20 minutes behind to CP Sudbury.


More Washago:


on Saturday June 14, 1980 CN Washago hosted five passenger trains, all VIA: #3, 4, 120 (Saturday only with Northlander equipment operated for / by VIA), 'pool' trains #128 & 129. 


Every 1980 week CN Washago was served by 44  passenger trains.
