Conrail's St-Luc (Montreal)-Selkirk, NY freight is about to leave the island of Montreal and cross the St. Lawrence River. In less than 2 miles it will leave CP Rail and enter Conrail track at Adirondack Jct.

With CP's purchase of the D&H in 1991 and Conrail's purchase of most of CN's line to Huntingdon in 1993 (now operated by CSX), the traditional routing to Montreal lost favour and the line between Adirondack Jct. and Beauharnois is now out of service.

  1. Wow, I can’t believe how busy the yard is!! It’s empty most of the time these days.
