CP 7022 is coasting on the tail end of CP 119 after a defective traction motor blower stopped the unit from loading beyond a certain speed, the sharp looking rebuild would limp off to Winnipeg like this for some attention from the shop, a long ways to go from Signal 673 on the MacTier sub!

  1. Guess Toronto wasn’t an option, even though it is closer, or is it?

  2. Much closer! At a certain speed it would still load so they went with take it all but slow it down instead.

  3. Really nice photo man. I caught this exact train too just north of Bolton and I may post my shot of the military unit as well as some point.
I also had a quick question for you as well as anyone else on here who seems to railfan this Sub often. As of 2020 can you or anyone else think of any other trains (excluding the industrial locals) which this Sub usually sees on a day besides 100/101, 112/113, 118/119 and 420/421? Thank you.

  4. Railfan99, your list is unfortunately bang on (I wish it was as long as it would have been in 2006-2007 Lol).

The only thing I notice right away that you don’t have is T49/234, T49 runs nightly around 2200-2300 from Toronto Yard to Spence and switches around a little bit then departs Southwards as 234 for Lambton/Windsor.

  5. Graydon i’m pleased to hear you are learning about operations and the symbols – good stuff young man.

Muskoka this is a very nice photo. Love it.
