  1. Seems silly to open up an enclosed repair building to the (Canadian) elements…I wonder what CP’s logic was.

  2. CP opened it up to accommodate the new service island’s tracks that run through the structure. The track visible to the left of the 2101 and the one it’s on are for repairs that can be made with the engine running or quick repairs. To the right of the 2101 (not visible in photo) are the 2 tracks that come off the service island.
