<Familiar sight
For the past several years, each time I visit or roll through Jasper, CN 2100 has been parked in the yard just east of the CN Operations building.
Most times it is sitting idle, however, on occasion I have seen trainees out learning some skills that will help get them qualified for train service.
That was not the case on this beautiful afternoon as CN 2100 basked in the warm sunshine under a clear blue sky. :-)

  1. Does this unit operate under its own power?

  2. Yes. They fired it up while I was there and had a number of trainees going through various activities while it moved within the yard.

  3. Excellent. It can join the misfits that aren’t on the CN roster but are all over the system. There are lots of them!
