From what I've been told, CP 5833 is to be scrapped where it sits, on a siding off the CSXT Montreal Sub in Beauharnois. Built for CP in 1974, it will not be around much longer. Behind is a pair of CSXT road units.

  1. Hey Michael….The CSX map shows this as the “end” of CSX….what traffic, or where would any traffic go to / from here?

  2. Quite a bit of traffic goes to/from Beauharnois, with a cargo flo facility and numerous industrial clients served by CSX. Seems like mostly tank cars and hoppers.

  3. Thanks – so does a road freight originate from here …go to ? daily ? or ?

  4. Not that familiar with this line, but I believe a road freight leaves here in the evening for Massena, NY. Probably daily but really not sure.

  5. Those two units in the background should be sitting on that spur.
