GE shovelnose units WPY 97 and 91 have reached the south siding switch at Fraser BC, having run around their train. After rejoining the main line and changing the switch, they will back down onto their tourist train for the return trip to Skagway Alaska. Canadian border bontrol formalities are not required unless you pass beyond (north of) Fraser. With the paving of the parallel Klondike Highway, mine closures, conversion to trucks, national border and other considerations - there is very little WPY traffic beyond Fraser in recent years. A high percentage of WPY passengers are tourists on day trips from cruise ships that spend one day in Skagway.
