GMTX 333 leads a fairly large freight for this line southbound to Streetsville for interchange with CP. Trailing were a total of 9 cars and they are crossing Nelson st about to pass by the remains of the old CPR station in Downtown Brampton. Typically this shot would not be doable unless it’s cloudy because in late morning is when you’d almost always see this train running south and at that time of the day this would be the shadowed side of the train but ever since Trillium took over this train has been pretty unpredictable due to the fact that their MP15AC seems to travel a lot slower than CANDO’s previous gp9-rm’s as well as that there seems to be some repairs happening along the line.  Anyway this day the train crossed the diamond southbound at 1pm and in the minutes leading up to this I knew I had to take advantage of the fact that the sun was on the west side of the line instead of the east side where you’d normally see it.  Also notice the very small ‘Peel Ice and Fuel’ facility I managed to capture in this shot on the right. That should come in handy in the event that the MP15AC needs more fuel to haul the load through the grades of Cataract!

UPDATE FOR CAPTION: Reverse what I said about this typically always being the shadowed side of the train, I have since learned that the sun generally swings to the west side of the tracks at about 10am so in the summer time, train would have to be running really late in order to get this nicely light shot. In winter, not necessarily as hard. At this time I was still JUST STARTING out in this hobby, I have since learned some more of the game
