What a crazy photo! Even crazier to think of is the riverside today is all a scenic walkway / park. Hard to believe trains once rumbled along, and passengers boarded and disembarked from the old GTR era station too (until the mid 60s)….all along the waterfront.
A nice clean pair in a rare spot for them! According to the bus foamer wiki, they were being sent out to California to demo in passenger/commuter service on the west coast for a bit:
