I recall posting a view of this engine some years ago. But here's another view.
The old RS-3 #8459 is moving out of the small engine facility to start another day of switching around Woodstock. That is the Galt Sub you see in the background on the right. There was a turntable here as well, location out of sight. I cannot recall if it was still in operation in 1979.
Caboose is CP 434018.
Rather early example of ditch-lights too, I might add. They were just coming into being back then.

  1. Well; that is 40 years so yeah there are a lot of changes but the basic layout looks familiar.
    It certainly was a far more interesting place back then though.

  2. I see the turntable.. very neat – was there an engine house/shed here also? Maybe not in 1979 but in prior years?
