I'm not quite sure the story on this pair of T4's but a guess would possibly be rescue power for a train stalled somewhere on the subdivision or lifting a train at Aldershot, while maybe not the most exciting power set it is somewhat rare catching these units leading out on the mainline running long hood forward, giving us a look at the end of most motive power usually blocked out by its train.

  1. This apparently was power sent from BIT to rescue train 422 with a dead unit.

  2. Indeed it was.. 422 had EMDX 1606 leading and a GEVO trailing, arrived aldershot at 11 AM with about 50 cars, and had a 1000 foot setoff and a very long lift out of the yard.. by the time they were finishing their lift I had left.
