It was cold on Bathurst Street bridge that morning, very cold, but tolerable for photos of recently rebuilt VIA F40PH-2D 6400 making its first trip west on The Canadian at 9am. As the minutes tick down to the top of the hour, other morning trains pass through, some inbound full of commuters and some outbound running empty. Two identical GO Transit "L10" consists, with F59PH units 543 and 564 both pushing, sit at Bathurst Street awaiting the light to head westbound back to Willowbrook Yard after completing their morning runs. The Quality Meat Packers abattoir was still "going at full ham" in the background, and would be for another few years until it closed down in 2014.F59PH 543 would be another one of those F59's to leave and rejoin the roster (sold to AMT/exo as 1340, purchased back by GO as GOTX 582), while 564 would be one of the eight F59's retained and rebuilt for continued service.

Both of the remaining CP Parkdale Yard spotlight towers can be picked out in the distance around Strachan Avenue grade crossing.
