At the time of this photo, I would assume this was Goderich bound. The Guelph Jct roadswitcher local job rarely went to Aberdeen and always had just one unit. The Goderich pickup was based in Aberdeen. The time of day is odd for the Goderich job, as it still ran out of Aberdeen at 2330, six nights a week. That said, sometimes in winter, the times got screwed up account weather & power issues. Perhaps the TH&B unit was an emergency stand in unit. The Goderich often had 2 SW1200RS units.
The GHRA Has a sign that looks very similar, if not the same as the one in this picture.
