New Brunswick Southern GP38-3 units 2610 and 9802 lead a freight train west over the ex-CP bridge that crosses the lower St John River. The engines are just beyond the girder truss section. Vantage point is the St John NB information centre building near the Reversing Falls viewpoint.
NBSR 2610 was built by EMD in 1965 as GP35 SP 7768. It was upgraded into a "GP38-3", losing its turbocharger and middle radiator fan, presumably converted from 567 to 645 diesel engine and electrically upgraded. It became SP 6665, SP 6308, and CIC 110 (Cedar Rapids & Iowas City). It joined the NBSR roster in 2007, arriving in the UP paint scheme.
