Anyway, up at Dundas, awaiting the #725 Hamilton to Nanticoke steel train; and was rather surprised to see it under control of three GP9s. On this day the power was CN 4125, 4121 and 4537. In a few short weeks the first two units would be renumbered into the 4300 series; but the last survived as is until around 1993. Great photo. I had seen the old Nanticoke trains when we first moved to Caledonia in 1988. There were the geeps, F units, and later years I think the GP38′s took over the run. Nonetheless, you never knew what you would see on that train for motive power.

Great photo. I had seen the old Nanticoke trains when we first moved to Caledonia in 1988. There were the geeps, F units, and later years I think the GP38′s took over the run. Nonetheless, you never knew what you would see on that train for motive power.
