  1. My fathers Blomberg was way better. These ride like crap.

  2. Aren’t they 4ft longer than the standard Blomberg? Someone measured it so I heard.

  3. I think they are longer, but not sure how much longer. I tested the first MP 40 in the
    GO sub before they entered regular service. I found the ride very rough.

  4. Yeah, they’re ever so slightly longer. I remember talking to someone who was into all kinds of EMD technical stuff, and he mentioned EMD let a bunch of patents expire over time, including I believe the design of the Blomberg truck. Hence, the clone design by MPI.

  5. Is it a clone though. Many manufacturers use the Blomberg trucks on new locos
