The WC took over the AC on February 1, 1995, and apparently they wasted no time getting to work on the remaining GP7L-m on the Algoma Central roster. WC must have been power short, or maybe the paint booth was backed up since this unit was returned to service before getting repainted WC. WC 1502 would be ex AC 101 nee 169, as these were rebuilt by GMD London before WC came along
