Caption: One for the "remember when the P42's were everywhere" files, now that VIA P42DC 919 is one of the retired units facing scrapping in the near future: 919 backs her consist of 5 HEP Budds from the TMC into Union Station on Track 8 during PM rush hour, likely the equipment for train #83. After loading passengers at Union, it will depart westbound around 5:15pm-ish for the Oakville Sub. Below the unit, work continues on the Simcoe Street underpass project under the USRC.
The consist for the evening was VIA 919, 4004, 4118, 4122, 4116, and 4121. Hard to believe those 1940-50's Budd stainless steel cars might outlive the entire P42 fleet...
