Orangeville-Brampton Railway's high-nose GP9 of choice, CCGX 1000, snarls traffic on Mississauga Road near downtown Streetsville as it switches the CP-OBRY interchange at Streetsville Junction. The unit is setting off its short train of 6 cars (two covered hoppers and four tank cars) before running around to the north end of the interchange track and lifting five covered hoppers for the trip back north.I had shot this train coming down through downtown Brampton down at the diamond, and beat it down to Streetsville just as it was arriving, nabbing it at Alpha Mills Road. Since the train was tying up Mississauga Road making its setoff, I remember I had to quickly loop around some of the side streets, swiftly park and bail out at the now-closed Streetsville Beer Store (there's a politician somewhere to blame for that), and then walk out into traffic for this quick "Don't get hit by a car today Dan" shot, as the Geep was just backing into the clear, I needed to be on the left side of the road, and oncoming traffic was getting impatient. After a few more photos here, it was back up to Brampton just in time for VIA #85 and the northbound OBRY run returning back to Orangeville (with no time for a quick stop at Credit Valley in downtown Streetsville for more Intermountain hoppers today).
