Out with the old .... and in with the new
Things are getting bigger in Biggar.
The old VIA station has been cleared of the trees and brush that had consumed it over recent years to expose its deteriorated shell, while at the right of the frame construction of a new classic style station building is underway.
I'll be traveling through Biggar again on VIA 1 the first week of March 2026 and will update the view at that time.

  1. Paul, thanks for the picture and information. Question, why is the new station located so far back from the track ? It looks like it will be a nice looking structure. Enjoy your trip, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, John

  2. Hi John. I don’t have any details on the building under construction, and I can’t find anything online.
Hopefully my trip the first week of March will yield some additional information.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you as well. :-)
