...reminded me of another 1201 doubleheader: the G5a / RS-18 lashup at Charney P.Q.
( G5a #1201 a June 1944, CPR Angus Shops, Montreal build – CN #3718 a 1957, MLW RS-18, Montreal build )
Ex CPR 1201 – owned by the National Museum of Science & Technology ( and operated by ? ) - was attending the 450th anniversary celebration of the founding of Stadacona ( Quebec City ) by Jacques Cartier.
Uncertain what ailed the 1201 on this assignment – perhaps a viewer may be able to elaborate.

Thank you, Mr. Danko, for your kind words and nomination! Not many people are aware that a telephone pole was embedded in 1201’s boiler during the restoration (the second shot in my sequence that day clearly confirms this). I also managed to blur the image and cut off some wheels. Not a snowball’s chance that Mr. Host and the moderators will let this photo squeak in. The only thing in focus is the engineer – and I’m 99% sure it isn’t the late Mr. Frank Bunker.
I snapped this train at Daveluyville MP 67 and 3718 wasn,t there..
