Picking up on Doug's theme, here is another CP detour train passing the CN yard in Niagara Falls.

CP train 526 is powered by a group of SD40 variants: SD40s 6411 and SD40s 5534 and four SD40-2s.

In the foreground we have three pair of GP9RMs based out of Niagara Falls for local service as well as a set of road power (likely from train 449 which will turn on evening train 448 to MacMillan Yard). 

Hard to believe that this is all gone now...

  1. Very nice! I was always intrigued with how they changed the number boards on the GP9m rebuilds…I got my 4112 model wrong as it has the same font 4104! Great photo.
