Plow Extra: During the Winter of 2007, strong relentless winds and a couple months of white stuff on the ground caused the ordering of a rare Plow Extra on the Goderich subdivision. During the CN years, this line was well known to host a pair of FPA units in plow service and was frequented by photographers. With Goderich and Exeter having transferred two covered wagons of their own from Lakeland and Waterways, the ingredients were ripe for a repeat of the covered wagon plow extra! Here we see RLK 1401 trailing towards the big shops at Stratford after having spent the better part of a day plowing between Clinton Junction, Goderich, and Stratford. Standing guard is an ancient wooden "Do Not Tresspass" sign - rarely seen and even in this condition, likely dating to the first half of the 20th century.
The extra would ultimately head to the Stratford Station as seen in this photo link http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=1460
