Great catch.
Great shot !
Very nice. I didn’t know this operation even existed! What a great thing to see.
1336 retired by CN in Nov1990, sold in Sept1992 to this mill, which was Abitibi-Price at the time.
Thank you all for your beautiful comments!
Thank you for the information, Mercer.
Would you happen to know which reporting mark they operate the SW12000 under? I have seen it
listed as CANX (Canac) but i am not sure if that is right.
Ian, as was the practice in the 70s/80s/90s, CANAC handled 98% of CN equipment resales. But that wouldn’t mean that all of them were identified as such [ CANX } except perhaps for the one-way movement to the buyer’s property.
As an industrial locomotive, it really is not required to have reporting marks, until it needs to be taken somewhere on a Class 1 for repairs or sale.
