Since the start of the pandemic, VIA 601/603 to Northern Quebec has only been running once a week (versus its regular schedule of three days a week) and for the past few weeks it has left Montreal around sunset (its normal departure time from Central Station is 0815). Today's train left at 1715, putting it in good light while it was on CN's Montreal Sub. Here it passes a short CN 527, with VIA 6418 & VIA 6416 up front and VIA 6411 leading the VIA 603 portion of the train.
