The main hump yard tower at the north end of CN's MacMillan Yard is shows in June of 1976. Originally opened in May 1965 as "Toronto Yard" (its location was just north of Toronto in the Concord/Maple area of Vaughan), it was CN's move to relocate their aging freight yards and facilities out of Toronto proper, to a new larger and more modern site located on former farmlands to the north. CN Toronto Yard was renamed "MacMillan Yard" in 1975.

    Yardmaster on top, retarder operators one floor down.

    This tower no longer looks anything like in this photo. Offices have been added and complete rebuilding. Yardmaster no longer on top. GST and Superintendent, Dual yardmaster and BIT yardmaster all in the same spot now
