Hi Joseph. It looks good in CN orange No. 12 as well!

Was this design unique to Canadian railroads? I have not seen any other pictures of plows in other road service.
Maintainance on the trucks must have been difficult with those skirts covering the works
I believe there were a total of 4 double ended plows constructed by CN in 1939 at their Transcona shops in Winnipeg, MB.
Numbered CN 55696-CN 55699, they were designed for use on subdivisions where no wye existed to turn the plow for a reverse direction movement. P.E.I. was where at least two of the odd-ball plows spend much of their working lives.
I am not aware of any similar plows on other North American roads.
I have an article here somewhere that I will find and attach to a separate message.
I found another weird double ended plow-in St Catherines of all places. And its from a generation earlier. Check out https://www.webpraxis.ab.ca/vrr/_RClearing.phpemarks/Snow_Clearing.php
