The next pair of F59PHs destined for a return to Toronto (GOTX 582 & GOTX 583) sit in EXO's Pointe St-Charles Yard last Friday afternoon as CN 527 heads east on the main line. As far as I know, this pair has not left Montreal since then.

    I wonder how many more of those things GO will scoop up, considering the MP40/MP54′s aren’t being made anymore, and EXO/AMT’s units would be easy pickings for ready-to-run units (unlike the Metrolink cores that need rebuilding and possibly new engines).

    Well, at this end, the F59PHs are being replaced one for one by new Siemens units.

    The metrolink units don’t have a prime mover or main generator in them. Empty shells basically
