The quartet of locomotives shown includes every type of unit rostered by Stelco at the time. Featured in the foursome are the following models:
No. 51 - GE 65 Ton, built April 1950 (ballasted to 80 Tons)
No. 54 - GE 80 Ton, built May 1952
No. 74 - GMD SW8, built April 1953
No. 84 - GMD SW900, built November 1959
At the time the venerable GE center cabs were not active and considered to be ‘spares’.
