In contrast to the negligence, we have dual diligence with the F’s. Just in case there is confusion as to which end is front.
Pride of the fleet. That’s the shot I wanted to get! Looks “good” in the afternoon sun.
I love how the CN noodle is coming through on the side. Reminds me of how some of the SD40s looked in their later years.
The horror….. the horror…..
Yikes.
Looks like some kid’s art project.
Noodle vs stripes vs Primer vs a better managed paint scheme on the GATX unit. Well done.
Given how everything else looks, I’m kind of surprised the cab numbers haven’t reverted to “5526″.
Check out the blue “shower cap” debris covers on the horn! Not a standard CN feature by any means…
Both paint schemes are my childhood. I remember seeing my first CN engines at 3 years old, in Napanee, ON at the old Centre Street crossing there. Simple design (paint scheme). Then of course, the zebra stripes certainly did not go unnoticed either.
That’s what makes this a GREAT picture. The memories that your photo brings out in people.
