This photo from July of 1982 shows an inbound GO Transit train near the west end of Toronto Union Station, passing the Globe & Mail building. This was back when newspapers were still a thing. The leader - 902 - is a rebuilt FP7, originally Ontario Northland 1507, and is serving as an Auxiliary Power Control Unit (APCU) used in push-pull service. The unit was scrapped in 1995. After signing a release, Toronto Union Station was "Train Disneyland" for me as a 16-year-old kid.

  1. All of this is no longer there, it’s been “gentrified” so to say.

    The tracks have been reconfigured.
