This was a fun chase with a good friend years ago. The Royal Canadian Pacific made a rare Mike’s run thus day after a run from Toronto to Hamilton, the train made its way north to Guelph Junction the ran the Guelph Junction Railway up to Guelph where the power was wyed fir the next morning run to Toronto. This day we made a run to the soccer field along highway 403 at Desjardines to try to catch the southbound run. Unfortunately we didn’t realize there was a fence to contend with. One sprained ankle later, that was worth the pain we got the shot we were hoping for. We did chase the it to Guelph but this was my favourite shot of the day. GP38 3084 on this trip from Calgary replaced FP9 1400 due to mechanical issues. I did have an article on this run published in CP Tracks magazine many years ago.

  1. Thanks, unfortunately auto correct is sometimes my worst enemy.
