Three generations of power sit at Mac Yard on this hot summer evening, the SD60F's have long since been retired and now await the last trip to K&K Recycling in Pickering for scrap, the SD40-3's have been retrofitted with RCLS and now used in hump and pull down service and the SD75I still plying the mainline.

  1. Back in around 1984, running short of hump GP38-2′s, they tried 2 SD40′s for the hump with some success…except for being power short on the main.

  2. SD40′s are now very common on the hump and in puller service. Nice shot Mike!

  3. that SD60F is in horrid condition, nice angle of mac we normally never get to see

  4. Horrid condition? Its stripped for heading to the scrappers torch.

  5. I often commute on Creditstone road and get a chance to see what’s stirring at the Mac yard diesel shops. I remember seeing these SD60Fs standing there until the end of August.

  6. Was there the other day; a string of autoracks have been dragged around the outside to block the view of anything. I assume it’s deliberate
