Thanks for posting this great photo! I was therethe same year this was taken in the summer. The railroaders were extremely friendly and even welcoming. They let us look around all we wanted, then gave us a cab ride in those CPR RS-18′s on the right of the photo while they were doing some switching moves. We got to checkout the inside of the caboose too. We were incredibly lucky, and the 80′s were wonderful times to be a train buff. As long as you were safe, respectful and polite, they would give you “the grand tour of everything”.
