  1. I’m not sure I’ve seen a pointed pilot plow like that on a CPR steam locomotive before. Possibly an experimental plow?

  2. A friend of mine used to thoroughly research the CPR steam engines and have custom models made of them. He had several with snow pilots. On the Kettle Valley they probably met more rocks and snow slides than on the main line.
