Trillium Railway #110, an ex-CN MLW S13, throttles up to climb the grade on the former CN Thorold Subdivision with their short lived diner train. I believe that the passenger cars went back to the New York & Lake Erie after this endeavor was abandoned.

  1. Chugchugchugchugchug!

Doesn’t Trillium have some ex-Algoma Central passenger cars stored away for something?

  2. They may, but I haven’t been down there for a while. These cars were all NYC lettered and had come from the NY&LE from what I was told.

  3. Yes, they are stored at Feeder Yard.

  4. Love the sound of this the Alcos coming up the grade

  5. Anybody remember when there were two sets of tracks running parallel to the Welland Canal where we see the one line here?

  6. There’s the grade @mikelockwood talks about in this thread:

    photo.

“It was the steepest mainline grade on CN anywhere”

I can see that. I’d love to hear that Alco and watch the smoke show.
