TRRY 1859 derailed on the curve of the Lakeshore Spur, the first axle is on the ground so the rail spread out of gauge. Later on, the GIO Rail MofW crew showed up to work on rerailing the TRRY 1859. They will be there for a good couple of hours before returning back to Welland.

  1. Ouch!

  2. Track a little soft in this area. Bruce

  3. 2nd time in 3 yrs, about 75 feet closer to Yale Crescent they derailed.
Again the track spread. They need to redo that section of track above every other tie for 200-300 ft

  4. I wonder if they were able to use rerailers or had to get a lift? That looks like a tight curve, time to get some new wood under the rails.

  5. I guess the wheel base is a little long for this site. Perhaps the SW 900 should do this customer. Been there and the track is not in bad shape but definitely tight curves everywhere. Love the marker lights on this old unit. No point in spending money here as the customer is done once all the Lids are on the NS cars in about 6 months.
