Two classic GM ponies rolling through midtown Toronto: CP SD40-2's 5776 and 5720, in well-worn matching "CP Rail System" paint, handle a long train of autoracks on #137 at Bartlett Avenue on the North Toronto Sub. CP 5776 would be retired later that year and be rebuilt as SD30C-ECO 5043, while 5720 would be retired in 2009 and sold to J&L Consulting.

  1. “Cool” photo….! Also my least favourite CP paint scheme. The combined CP Rail System / St. Lawrence & Hudson years. Although, as I’ve gotten older I appreciate it more than I did.

  2. I just slipped.
