Via 6454 leads train 70 by Garden Ave just outside of Brantford on a sunny May morning. 6454 is one of 5 wrapped F40's on the Via system, they've been floating all over the Via system lately, some on long haul trains and others on commuter service. This was a surprise this morning as I was out for other reasons and a quick stop yielded a shot I am quite happy with.

  1. Nice shot!

  2. To us railroaders this are is called Massey’s. Named after the famous Massey-Ferguson plant that is just west of this shot.

  3. Correct Phil, the bridge in the background is Garden Ave hence why I said it :) To me Masseys is the signals and where the Normerica Plant is.

  4. Yes the plant were the signals are are in our timetable as Massey’s. LOL if the dispatcher asked what my train location is. I would say just east of Massey’s :-)
