We're riding in GO Transit cab car 214 on one of the afternoon Georgetown line trains (#263, Union-Bramalea), making our way through the Union Station Rail Corridor after having departed off Track 1 at 1pm. Emerging from the flyunder at the west end of the USRC, our train is about to take our light on the north track lining us through the interlocking plant at Bathurst Street and up the Weston Sub at Strachan Avenue. No photographers on the bridge this afternoon, only in the cab car.

"Bathurst Street" came about when the TTR finally replaced all the manual interlockings that were here for decades in the early 1980's with an automated plant controlled remotely from a GRS control panel in John St. tower. Before that, this location was known as Cabin D (with its own wooden interlocking tower) and all manual ground throws handled by switch tenders on the ground..
