Caption: Westbound out of Toronto, a TOFC train rolls beneath Dufferin Street, passing the old Exhibition station, out of service about eleven years now. This station was opened in 1912 to serve the annual Canadian National Exhibition at the nearby Exhibition grounds, replacing an earlier station nearby. It continued to see use until 1968, when the new Exhibition GO station was opened east of Dufferin Street, on the site of the original Exhibition station. These platforms would see one more bit of service for the 1979 CNE due to crowding at Exhibition GO, with this location being temporarily named "Dufferin Gates." Since then, the old platforms have remained abandoned and overgrown, with stairs to Dufferin Street fenced off.
