Caption: Weston wasn't exactly a hotspot for train watching back in the day (much less so now with the Metrolinx trench), but what ran was predictable and easy to catch if one knew what ran when. VIA #84 puts in its daily afternoon appearance, galloping through Weston on the final stretch to Toronto Union Station downtown after its previous stop in downtown Brampton (no VIA service for the residents of Weston!). VIA P42DC 902 leads 4 LRC cars, approaching John Street and the GO station after just crossing Church St. (this was a typical #84 consist for the time, as unlike #85/88 where the F40's ruled with an iron fist, #84/87 could pull either an F40 or a P42 from the deck).

Also mixed in that afternoon were the usual afternoon GO trains, westbound VIA 85 after 84 passed, and a few CP freights.
