When highway 19 was extended along the east side of Nimpkish Lake on Vancouver Island, a new grade-separated access from the Canadian Forest Products mainline to the Nimpkish shop area was needed, and that is what is showing in the distance above the fourth car. The construction access road provided a convenient way to reach a water spout stand on the mainline, which became my perch to document SW1200 302 with a train of log empties southbound on Friday 1975-06-06 to replenish various reloads.
