While not as busy as CN’s Wainwright subdivision mainline nearby to the south, CP’s Hardisty subdivision through Unity, SK, had the advantage of a staffed train order office, seen here with a CLEAR board for scheduled westward freight No. 561 with GP9 8618 leading C-425s 4214 and 4215 and GP9 8648 on Sunday 1981-09-27 at 1843 CST.

That depot is a survivor, now part of the nearby Unity & District Heritage Museum at GPS 52.4487, -109.1479 near 1st Street East and Main Street.
