Caption: With a friend down from Montreal we spent some time following the Courtland job with the usual pair of SW1200's, little did anyone know that not even GIO would spend time servicing these places as they would be demolished in the last couple of years in favor of housing. I am told the tracks remain though at least just west of the crossing in Courtland with the grade crossing now removed.
Notice the front end loaders, they were working like busy worker bees dumping product into a chute, there's lights on some indicator assuming it measures the level of product in a hopper/storage compartment of some kind. Any Agricultural minded folks know what they are doing? The place was a hive of activity and naturally the railway was there to help deliver product in those BNSF hoppers. And I'm standing under the 'chute' for the large concrete elevators, at that point they were not in service anymore. The place also stunk!

Is it me or does the frame on 1244 look bent?
Hahaha wow!
We’ve had bowed frames in the middle and now a hump. lol.
Grade crossings are still there as of this posting, just a bit of track disconnected from the west side of the crossing. This scene is largely unrecognizable today. It’s a jungle. And little sign an industry ever occupied the site.
