Caption: With full pomp and circumstance provided by the Band of the Royal Regiment of Canada, CNR 6060 is paraded towards Toronto's harbourfront at the Lakeshore Boulevard crossing, just east of Bathurst Street (note the tower at Bathurst north yard in the distance.) It is Victoria Day weekend, and opening day for the Canadian Railway Historical Association's Toronto & York Division Harbourfront Railway Museum, just to the south of Lakeshore Blvd. 6060 is taking part by hauling museum equipment to the new site, in this image pulling MLW S2 7988. The museum would close and equipment dispersed into the mid 80's. At left is the old 1928 Loblaws warehouse, the facade still standing today as part of the West Block condo development.

Dang. What an event! Thanks for sharing. Of note, there is restoration happening out west on 6060 by the Rocky Mountain Railroad Society. Too bad the government got rid of 6060 back when I was a Toddler!
